This site is a private reference guide, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, post bond, pull official booking records, update a mugshot, or answer for the Wilcox County Sheriff's Office, the jail, ADOC, BOP, ICE, or the courts. Use the official contacts below for those requests.
Where to Ask About an Inmate or Record
Wilcox County does not publish an official online current-inmate roster in the research sources, so phone and office channels matter. Use the jail lines for live custody questions, the sheriff business office for weekday administrative and civil-process matters, the Circuit Clerk for court files, and ADOC for sentenced state inmates.

Alabama Department of Corrections records: public-records requests for ADOC records can be directed to public.records@doc.alabama.gov. ADOC is the route for sentenced state prisoners, including Camden Community Based Facility / Community Work Center, not for people newly booked into the county jail.
For public-record requests, Alabama Code 36-12-40 covers public writings and Alabama Code 36-22-8 addresses the sheriff jail book. Investigative reports may be limited by Alabama Code 12-21-3.1, and court access is also affected by Alabama privacy and confidentiality rules effective January 1, 2025.
- For someone believed to be in the county jail, start with jail inmate records and then call detention or booking.
- For booking photos and mugshot-access limits, use jail roster mugshots and verify with the sheriff's office.
- For charges filed after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and contact the Circuit Clerk for copies or record-search requests.
- For facility details, review the footer links for Prince Arnold Detention Center and Camden Community Based Facility / Community Work Center.
- For a sentenced Alabama prisoner, use the statewide Alabama Department of Corrections inmate search and ADOC records contact.
- For a federal or immigration detainee, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator, U.S. Marshals Southern District of Alabama context, or ICE Online Detainee Locator System as appropriate.
